This course has provided a structure and a biblical perspective regarding counselling. I need to saturate myself with scripture so that my interpretation and counsel is based on the word of God. In counselling I will not assume but ask good questions

The work of the Holy Spirit is beautiful and mind boggling when we are surrendered, available to be ambassadors of Christ every day. This awareness has made my walk with the Holy Spirit so much more enjoyable! Willingness to be instruments has increased my sensitivity and reliance on Him so much more! Praise God for the course!

I see how important personal preparation is for a counsellor – the goal is not to bring my agenda or desires but to be God’s instrument for His word, His plans and desires to be seen in the other’s life. I need to prepare well with God’s help so as to not say things which are wrong just to console or comfort the person or things which are not grounded in Scripture!
